I use the resins manufactured by Glass Mechanix. With this resin, you do have to use some precautions pertaining to extreme temperature changes. Naturally, heat will change the viscosity of your resin. Unlike motor oils and a variety of other liquids, glass resin has a tendency to have a poor memory of its original viscosity, and will not often go back to its original thickness. Here in North Carolina, we do have some hot days but nothing like you guys in the deep south or southwestern states. I personally take my resins out of my vehicle when possible on extreme hot days. I know it is a pain, but so is resin that runs like water once it thins out.

some mfgs are different Back in the old days you had to refrig your resin and it was thick so a high pressure system was needed (Novus) the failure to move with the change in science was the death of some of the older companys. I dont think a blanket statement that hot or cold is ok is valid because some mfgs use different technoligies to make the resin. I guess what im getting at is when answering the post say I use resin A and keep it in my trunk in south texas with no adverse affect.

So here is my input I use Liquid Resins White,Red and Green cap resins and work as cold as -20f and as warm as 90 f and keep my stuff in the car with no adverse affect

I have used products from Windshield doctor in the past with bad results to both heat and cold. The stuff gets to thick when cold and actualy turned yellow in the bottle when it got hot for an extended period.

I bought a old Delta kit from a out of the buisness tech the resins in it were a couple years old had been used in the same environment I work in one day do to poor planning on my part I ran out of resin :roll: went to the old box dug out the ancient delta goo and did a couple repairs on my sons buddys car seems it holds up to cruddy temps and care as well

I bought some resin off the net from a guy in texas who also sells a injector on ebay ($35 refer to my old post Broke 2 in a day) the resin seemed to hold up to the temp changes but the bottles leaked when they got hot I took the cap off to find a mess because the dropper seal had given way on all 3 bottles, up to that point I had been happy with the product but packaging changed that.

Glasstarz,speaking of that injector you mentioned in that old post, I was just looking at it on ebay.I can't tell what kind it is.What kind was it and what was it about it that made you feel like the broke W/S was due to the injector.I was thinking about bidding on it just to try it.What is it made of?

It seems like it was made in some low budget machine shop the rear screws arnt straight up and down and both small angles but not the same. The injector has a very small rubber tip on the end so when you tighten it down the metal of the injector presses against the glass. if you dont tighten it down to this extreme it doesnt make a good seal. A bad knock off of the 3 point design if you ask me. It really does look like something my kid made at metal shop 8)
