Resin not sticking/curing

Try wiping the pit with some acetone on a cotton bud then applying a small drop of normal resin into the pit and wipe it out with a piece of paper wipe this will leave the pit slightly damp with resin then carry on as normal with your pit finish etc I very suprised if it drops out again I have ben using this method for to many years on plate glass, televisions and small screen chips and haf a lot of success.
Acetone can be purchased from most chemists here in the UK I suppose it is the same everywhere.
