I can see where your coming from with the credit card idea Tony- As far as if a person gets an unexpected chip on their windshield and wants it fixed right away, they may not have budgeted $50. for such an occurence. My retail price is also based on my personal perceived notion of what people in my area would pay, and what other WSR vendors charge. I know that it is less painful for me to pull out my plastic than to pull out my cash- Also I don't know too many married men who carry much cash Maybe its time to adjust my retail price and add credit cards. Thanks for your input, So far I haven't found a better deal than through the link on your website. Take care- Bob
keep the prices up do not under value our expertise only a bad salesman has to sell cheap. Nobody ever regrets buying quality so make sure you give it.
If it takes you 5 minutes of selling to get another $10.00 that works out at $120 dollars per hour do not give it away. If you must discus discount do it as a percentage ie 10% you will find that instead of offering $10.00 dollars you can offer 10% on a $50 job that only $5 try it most people just want to hear numbers.

There is a fella in the next town to my area who sits in the parking lot of a boarded-up, out of business gas station. Tacky old truck, hand-lettered sign that reads " Windshield Repair $10" .... I never have seen anyone getting a repair, but have had people ask me what I think of him undercutting my price? I just say "he must be new to the business (translate: inexperienced ), because he doesnt know what his service is really worth if he is doing it right." I dont worry about people charging less than what I do. after all that is part of the free enterprise system. What does concern me is shabby work, no matter what they are being paid.
I have only been in the WSR business for about 4 or 5 months now, but have not had any problems with charging $40 to individuals for a bullseye or star and an additional $10 for simular damage to the same windshield. I have been giving a break to my repeat customers such as car rental or city operated maintenance shops due to the more freqeunt business that they provide. I always make sure that they understand that increase volumn will be a benifit to them by price breaks for on going business. I have had one or two individuals make me aware of other WSR folks that have done work for them before over the last several years that turned out really crappy. They said that even through the repair actually turned out not much better than before they started, they still charged them $20 to $25.
