A question for ACT users
I have been using ACT for over 6 months now and was wondering what is the "right" number of claims to have in process to get a great weekly payout consistently. My max has been 29 claims in process and of course that doesn't seem like enough. Am I right in guessing that keeping a consistent 50+ in process at all times is what I should shoot for? Any help is appreciated.

15+ per week will consistantly get you $400-$500 a week thats 3 a day 5 days a week they pay fast and never had a glitch to date

I personally love ACT. The service is wonderful, it takes up less of my time and I get paid promptly.
I too am using ACT. I'd like to ween myself off someday. Or atleast 1 out of 4 or 5 try direct billing. So far, I do like them, but yes there is a pricey cut they take off the top. However, all things being said. They are easy, quick, professional, and helpful. Great for us new folks.
So far no regrets, however I really am looking at doing some direct billing to offset what they take.

I also am fairly new to WSR, and went round-and-round about whether to join Act or Direct Bill.
Here is my experience thus far
As a matter of fact, I just received two checks today, that I direct billed. One with the Lynx Services and the other with SGC network.
I followed the instructions for direct billing from a previous post from Graybeard, and it works beautifully. viewtopic.php?p=7384&highlight=#7384
I simply called the number on the back of the insurers card, received the appropriate confirmation/dispatch number etc, and then proceeded with the repair.
Upon returning back home, the fax had been received from Lynx, and the other from SGC, with clear instructions on where to fax or mail my invoice, and voila it was done.
Approximately 30 days later the checks arrived exactly as billed. No extra fees, etc, were subtracted.
I was not required to meet any insurance requirements "liability ins" or qualify with the 1 year time frame to get paid.
I simply gave them the info. they normally require i.e., name and address of my shop, Vin number and policy number of insured etc, and told them I was direct billing, and faxed my invoice to them upon receiving their fax to me with the instructions.
I called ACT and spoke with Doug when I had considered joining ACT, but don't really see the benefit of paying all the additional money when so far with Direct Billing, all that has been required is one phone call to the insurance Company which in turn transfers you to the network. Faxing an invoice takes seconds to send and costs very little.

Wow you clearly explained direct billing in one post. Answered several questions I had.
have you had any problems with checks being sent to the customers instead of your business?
One other question, does the form the insurance co. fax ask for the approval/authorization #? If not, where do you provide them with this #?
