Over the last month I have had three Delta Kits injector pistons returned to me which now adorn my desk. They look at me and I can see they really want to get back out there fixing chips . The problem is all three have been left out in the sun and jammed up with resin. I give good advice to my technicians regarding the importance of caring for their equipment but these injectors continue to come. Are these injectors ready for the bin or can they be recovered?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Have you tried soaking them in acetone? When they get frozen up that bad sometimes it takes days of soaking just to break them loose again. Time to sit these guys down and go through preventative maintenance procedures again
Eric soaking in acetone will do the job you can also use this to soften your seals do not leave to soak for to long.
P.S. get it from Boots less than a pound per bottle.

Eric, as long as you keep rescuing your techs, they will not learn how to do maintenance on their equipment. Next time it happens, tell them how to correct their mistake but DO NOT DO IT FOR THEM! Furthermore, they should do this on their own time, since it was their negligence that caused the problem.
