Who has the best pit resin ?
I'm currently testing out the glass mechanix right now and find it to be thick, but not as thick as Delta's.
Dave M,
After applying the pit resin, I placed the curing tab on top and the tab goes down on the glass, usually with no hump. When i use the thick pit resin like Delta's, I can place the tab on top and I can see that it's still floating on the pit resin. Hope I explained this right. Another problem is dealing with tiny bubbles left in the pit with thin resins.....well, this is another story and it's getting late.
What I'm really trying to know is which resin can withhold the environment the best. I'll probably test all the ones i have one day by curing it alongside on a glass and bake it in the oven under low heat for a day or so. Sounds like a fun little project to do.

Jonnyques I would think you are about right there maybe a bit high on the exchange rate. It would not be hard to up this figure if I was to do more hours maybe even work the weekend but I have found the level I am happy with and enjoy my time off I am now 48 and have no desire to chase money like I used to in my twenties and thirties.

Glass Technology makes the best Pit Filler; it's thick enough to fill just right at any angle and shines down smooth and flush every time!

What works best for some doesnt for others thick is good but sometimes it doesnt get into a drill hole without a little work. I go through 10 bottles of resin before I ever need another bottle of pit filler so its realy not much expense.
I can say that resin gets thinner when hot so the thinner pit filler combined with hot weather or glass would certainly run off a verticle windshield.
THICK IS GOOD!! except with women of course I likes em thin

lakosbo,
I don't have the glass technology but i heard from alot of people here that they said it's good. I'm going to request a sample soon. So far, I've tested janvil, glass mechanix and delta's. I have liquid resin's and esprit's but haven't tested those yet. Liquid resin seems very thick though. It's hard to tell which one's the best because all 3 came out with good results, just Delta in my opinion is the easiest to work with because of its thickness. I'm still trying to see who's the best in long term meaning who will not fall off or turn yellow.
I have done a few for friends and friends of friends but haven't truley open the business yet. I'm still working at my old job and saving up for backup just in case and also getting everything setup to start hopefully by the end of next week.

I also use Glass Technology, and am quite satisfied with it. I use all GT resins. It has long been my understanding that the repair and pit resins of most brands are formulated to work most favorably together. In other words, it is not recommended to use one type of repair resin with a different brand of pit resin. Someone else may have a different view on this idea.
