power packs
Someone here mentioned they use a portable power pack. I just picked one up that has 110 wall outlet and 12V receptacle. Works great for curing resin. No more looking for the cigarette lighter and then finding it doesn't work!! It has jump start cables built in which makes for an instant business add on. How much to charge for an emergency jumpstart, $5???
There is a deluxe model with a built in tire inflator but it is a bit heavier.

I use one! Found it at Home Depot for 39.99. Has the tire inflator too but never have used it. Works great! Gets my Delta 9w UV lamp through the whole day without recharging. Battery is 12v 7.2 amps dry cell. (priced out battery by itself and was $30) So....not such a bad deal for portable power supply.
The only thing left to do now is cut that 18' delta UV lamp cord and give the other half to my daughter to use as a jump rope
Not making fun of you Delta
but that cord is really.....................long!!!
Great light though!!! Everybody should have one. I've dropped mine so many times that I lost count. Thing just never breaks!

I use a gel-cell battery pack found @ http://www.sportsmansguide.com just had to make a plug-in for it. At 9''x2'' fits right in my toolbox. Came with charger . cost 19.99 .They also had the step that goes over the tire. cost 17.99. Much better than standing in the door leaning over the A pillar.

I use the BTCY100 from Delta (came with kit) it only leaves the tool box when charging is needed because I have a long cord on my light. LOL thanks Jeff for the insight. and yes finding out to late that it needs charging is not fun..
BRINGS ME TO A QUESTION. ON THE DREMIL how often do you guys charge yours?? I charged and only used once or twice but find it is dead three days later is this normal?

JSmith, sounds like you either have a bad battery, or else you didnt have it turned completely off and the power drained out. Depending on how much I use the drills, I usually recharge about once a week. At that time, I turn them on and let them run completely down before beginning the recharge. I was told that this should be done because the batteries have a 'memory' so if you typically recharge when they are not fully expended, the useful power will be only the amount you recharged. Same with cordless phones.
