Ok, I stopped at a Barnes & Nobles to hit the head while I was out today. I stopped in the marketing area and saw that book Coitster mentions in his sticky. Guerilla Marketing strategies...... Cool stuff in that book. Soooo, I been scheming all day. One thing that hit me was good classified ads can be powerful, and giving something away free can be also. So, since our Free WSR isn't really tangible to the customer, what could I offer free. So I'm gonna write a clasified ad to hit my military base papers, and my small community. Something like this!!

Free windshield Repar with qualifing insurance!! First 10 customers receive complimentary car wash. Call 687-9311

So I honestly think I'm gonna give it a try! We'll see how it works out.

Thanks StarQuest, I really want it too work. Since I'm now retired from the military. I'm thinking I only need 10 - 20 repairs a week to stay comfortable and have lots of time to spend with wife and kids (4 & 2 yrs old, yes I started late) So I just want to find my little niche of the market and meet that quota without killing myself or driving myself crazy.

Great idea Mike.
Do you have a web site?
I give them free software from mine as downloads. Also I have a custom explorer toolbar simular to Googles that I give away. The cool thing about the toolbar is that once it's installed on their computor, everytime that they're on the Internet, my name and a direct link to my web site is right in front of them.

Good luck.

Glassdude, Nope no web site! I've thought of it, just not sure how profitable it would really be! Any input on that you'd care to share???

MadMike,

Start thinking more like 8- 10 repairs per day......you can do this!!
It may take you awhile but you will achieve this goal. I started at 8am this morning and was finished at 1 pm today with 12 ($30 repairs.) You can easily do the same with some devoted effort. Picked up my 4 year old daughter early from school today and took her to a nice park and swimming. That in itself was worth millions.

Keep doing what your doing,,,,,and good things will come to you!

I agree StarQuest, It will come if I'm persistent. Which I plan to be. So although I'm looking at other ways to make it happen, I will be persistent.

I used to be in a Network marketing endevour years ago they had a saying "Some Will, Some Won't, So What". Thats pretty much the way this is.

Faxing your sales letter!!!

HI MadMike get happy,

I looked on e-bay for items to give away that I could buy in bulk lots. key words (wholesale) (lot of 50, 100, 500) I found some cellular phone boosters dirt cheap! 100 for only 5.99 free shipping

These have a preceived value of 19.95 written on the package. also as seen on T.V. yet cost you less than 6 cents to give away.

I have looked at sunglasses they are also cheap and do not cost an arm and a leg but do represent a value to your customer

Check out my web site under my profile http://www.chips-away.us not the National MS Society one I promote I paid 19.95 a year for this site with my own domain at http://www.webnow.com I advertise a free gift as well.

Another thing I have thought of the other day when a group with one of local school basketball teams was washing my Explorer to raise money for the tournement, why not team up with the team and offer to repair before they wash and donate 10% to thier team. With a $50 repair job they would be making double on that wash. This was at a walmart. Since the team already has permission from the store, so do you because you are with the team  ... Remember a donation to the school may be tax deductable also.. Just a thought.

Or approach a walmart manager on your own and offer 10-15% of gross sales to the Childrens' Miracle Network.....
