Could I fill out the network paperwork for State Farm, and continue to direct bill all other insurance companies?

on one board someone stated I could bill SF through lynx without an authorization number. How would I go about doing this? Get signed invoice, fax it to lynx, and wait for payment or authorization #?

Yes you can.

In fact, even if you sign up with Lynx, you can exclude insurance companies when signing up, so you could continue to direct bill those.

I am sure someone is direct billing SF reasonably problem free?

I live in a small town and turn all my Insurance claims into the office and let them do all of the leg work. I still get paid in the same amount of time I just dont go through the time on the phone. I always have the customer call the insurance to verify that they will wave the deductible and then take the invoice to the office. On the invoice that the customer signs I write in that the customer is responsible for all charges that the insurance does not pay. This works great, but we only have 1 of each agent here in town.

You cannot direct bill SF without doing the phone call. If you want to direct bill SF after making the phone call you can but they just send it on to LYNX anyhow, then it takes much longer to get your money. Also if you signed up on the SF contract they can kick you off for doing that because you already agreed to bill through LYNX.

Terryalex,
when you say "office," are you saying you bring the invoices to the State Farm office?
