:D I am very new to this business, in fact still in the research phase, and I need some advice on which kit to purchase. I am currently looking at the Delta kit with two bridges and the Glass Mechanix GM 2000 kit. I am getting into the wsr business part time and hope to go full time at some point. Any advise or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Beginner needs guidance

Deputy ben: Welcome to the forum and to the wonderful world of windshield repair!

I dont use either the Glass Mechanix or the Delta Kits, I have seen enough posts about both that I think I can comment from the sideline. In my opinion, Delta is probably the better choice of the two. Having said that, however, I also believe you can learn to do good repairs with just about any system, providing you receive adequate training and are diligent in practice, practice, practice. I know that Delta offers excellent technical support. Coming to the forums and 'picking the brains' of the seasoned veterans is also a big help. I have been doing windshield repair since 1996, and still manage to learn new things from what others post here, not only in techniques, but also in advice for running an effecient business.

I wish you much success.

I have two Glass Technology systems. I have the 20-20 and the VP-5000. Both are very good systems and GT gives excellent training and tech support. They also have very good customer service. When I was considering systems, it boiled down to Delta and GT. GT was within easy drive time from where I live so I went there for training.
