Good post Starquest. I also probe my repairs to decrease the time it take them to fill. I also agree that changing equipment will likely not speed up the process enough to make a truly noticeable difference.

About changing equipment...

In my own personal experience, when I switched to Delta, my star breaks actually filled completely everytime. I feel great about the service I am performing and the excellent results Delta equipment has given me. My old equipment worked, but honestly, I never achieved a PERFECT star break repair consistently until I switched to Delta.

From my testing results Delta's bridges performed as good or equal too what I'm currently using. If I wasn't part of a franchise and had my choice to choose? I'd put them at the top of my list. When it comes to service.....Delta has been one of the best. These people really work hard to obtain your business! I personally admire that;)

I can run 7 Delta bridges at one time without having to manipulate crazy small parts or worry about external vaccuum. The chips are 3/4 done by the time I set the 7th bridge and i still do a fantastic repair.... show me another system that can do that. Oh and like Mafsu said ... get quality down then speed comes later. I have the quality down and can do most repairs (90%) in 10 minutes or under.

Before anyone goes out and buys 7 bridges, I think that's overkill. I carry three bridges and 80% of the time when the third bridge is set the first repair is ready for curing.

Granted not many people do it that way ... but I carry a minimum of 4 bridges at a time. Many cars I do have 4 chips on them, not including the other cars that might be at the same location that need done. I usually only break into my 5th-7th bridge when doing large fleet account and not on really sunny days where it will cure too fast or where I need to manually manipulate it a bit. But many days I found myself breaking out the extras.
