This does happen but to me it is not a big deal... unless the chip is right in front of the customer face and the see you do that....

I just try very hard not to let it happen. But then again it does happen when your concentration lapes.

I agree with screenman, wipe resin over the scratch and make sure you cover it with a curing tab and cure for 2-3 minutes, then scrape and polish as normal, I find it improves it by around 40%. But when I have scratched the screen I tend to give the repair to the customer or discount it.
Obviously prevention is better than cure and its best to be extra carefull.
