I'm not 100% sure if any continuing training or education requirements are necessary with the NWRA at this time. I'm afraid you will have to contact them for the latest requirements or if you prefer I can have someone contact them to get the scoop.
Yeah, right!
Make them aware of a new way to make money.
As if you were leading yourself to the butcher or slaughter house, you should not have the attitude as if you were a cash-cow, ready for a new round to be milked.
I am against any form of certifications in our trade.
They are useless, they suck.
Instead I am preaching, for many years, a mandatory training.
Away with the silly DVD-Video-Online trainings. They do not work and do not offer any, I mean any, guarantee that people are using the tools and materials in the right manner. Any training SHOULD be hands-on, in a professional training facility. If a newbie does not want that training, the result should be: no tools, no materials. Find your stuff on ebay. Do NOT come back here before you have the means to be trained. It is VERY simple and can be done TODAY.
Any supplier, I mean ANY supplier, should agree with me. It is the only way to make sure that people have a proper kick-start. Suppliers should stop thinking in moving and shipping boxes and start to think about the future of our trade -and ACT.
If they don't and continue to flood our marketplace with newbies without a proper mandatoy training (just to be able to offer the product cheap ''or to be competitive'') they will help to steer our trade in a very bad situation. A situation where others, outsiders, will need to reshape the trade.
And that my dear fellow repairers, is something MOST of us just refuse to see, understand, let alone to agree with the idea. Unfortunately, too many people turn a blind eye. But when the outsiders are going to reshape our industry, and believe me, it WILL happen one day, it might be too late for many of us.
(I am not talking about Delta Kits specifically, I am talking about all suppliers).
