Pricing Structure - Based on a Ins. Company will pay out ???
I agree a company acting as a secretary handling all my invoices and payments would be nice, But not for nearly 15% of each claim. Thats robbery!
Well, I guess it depends on how much work a individual WSR tech. has on his hands. It may very well be worth it if you have enough work to last all day long, But surely for somebody starting out it doesn'nt justify the costs!
How many repairs does the average WSR guy have starting out? Any guess?
Thanks,
Chris

No because I dont send em anything! I make a phone call hand the phone to the customer and fix the glass and never have to do another thing i dont send anyone a bill I dont fax some bozo a bill i dont argue with any insurance geek. My customer is on the phone with act who confs in the customers insurance company so nobody steers anyone elsewhere. Thus my time is spent working or making sales calls not doing paperwork certainly worth it to me my time is valuable. When I get home I want to spend my time with my family or my golf clubs not doing paperwork. Some people take things like time with your kids for granted Aug 30 my 17 yr old son spent the day working with me sept 9 I sat in the intensive care and listened to the doctor tell me why he had died from spinal Menigitis related blood clots real simple anything that gives you more time with the ones you love and only cost a couple bucks to do it is worth it. Now get up kiss your kids and ole lady and quit bein argumentitive on a board thats supposed to be helpful to others. Someone asks how you do it I tell em what works for me and you start to snipe. Not very productive if you ask memaxima wrote:So your satisfied with ACT because of the simple fact that they know Ins. companies Prices / Limits are and thats what they charge, of course after you send act the claim rite?
Why don't you just use Glasscomp to do you filing! "peace of mind" your words.
$2.25 or 2.50 one of the two. They do all the work, check comes in full from Safeless or lynx. A bill from Glasscomp comes itemized out with all the names...
You can fax or mail to Glasscomp. They are also a network for country companies and other small ins. comp.
Glasscomp Ins

Don't bust your ass and then give the farm away for them to do a little paper shuffling. You own your business. They sound like an over paid Secretary.

If you are a member of the Safelite network, call your regional rep or manager and ask for an updated list of Insurance companies that work thru Safelite. That list will include what each ins. company allows for the repair according to YOUR participation agreement. The last list I received has 72 companies. (4-03)
Not sure if Lynx will do this, would you know Jeff?

Just wanted to add to my last post. If you use Glass Comp for Safelite Network claims, you need a "dealer number" on each invoice sent. You can get that number by calling the network and telling them you will be filing through Glass Comp. The same number is used for each Safelite claim.
I've been using Glass Comp for LYNX and Safelite and have received my checks without problem.
