I have just started in the WSR business and have been practicing on a practice shield. I have a question about the pit resin and the polish. I am following Delta's instructions and leaving a hump of pit resin, curing, scraping and polishing. After polishing I can still see a small amount of the pit resin. Is this normal? The repair appears to be complete but I can still see the pit resin spot. Should I be polishing more or doing something different with the pit resin? Please help.
Yes, there will always be visible pit resin from one angle. I was wondering the same thing also when I had started making practice repairs. If you send me your e-mail I will be happy to send you a pic that I recieved from delta of what a professional, completed repair should look like.
when I sell job the best I ever describe it as is leaving a small mark like a dried rain drop. I describe it like this when i know it will look that good when finished.
It is always best to undersell to the customer say it will cosmeticaly improve 80% maybe and if it goes 90% then both you and them feel great.
