Delta Kits Training - Orlando Florida - FINALIZED
We have been quite a bit of interest from forum members interested in attending the Mobile Tech Expo in Orlando Florida, which will be held January 21-22, 2005.
Many people have already committed to attending, from as far away as the United Kingdom. If you are interested in adding an additional line to the services you currently provide, the Mobile Tech Expo is the place to find it. Also, we will be having our training & marketing class the next day, so it's a great way to accomplish quite a bit while only having to travel to one place.
If you would like free tickets to the Mobile Tech Expo, email me or give me a call, and i'll get them sent out to you.
If you would like to attend our training & marketing class, give me a call, email me, or go to http://www.deltakits.com/training/orlando-0105.html

Building Relationships With New Businesses
Jeff,
Consider yourself lucky that my "Home Boy," John Ashcroft, resigned. Else, I would have utilized my influence and you would have had a nice vacation at Guantanamo;)!!!
Actually, I would love to go, and have penciled in the event on my schedule. Just waiting to see when my Attorneys wiil/can cut me loose to concentrate on things that are other than litigious!

Im not a big expo guy spend a week with your family in Florida instead you might find the rewards are better. if the system you use works for you stick with it if you need hepl marketing take a class at your local com. col. or online. You wont see anything at the expo you couldnt find online

GlassStarz, tell us how you really feel!
So, you feel it's not worth it to attend a training class to increase quality of your work, network with fellow technicians from the forum, that sort of thing?
If you don't think any of that is worth it, what on earth are you doing here? And with 347 posts no less??

You can spend a week in Florida and after 3-4 days walking around attractions the Expo would be a treat for any tech (around 100 $ cheaper too ). I can get almost anything online too, but I would rather spend an afternoon with people in the same buisness. You can learn alot from just being with people who do the same thing you do for a living.
It is not for everyone but if you can combine the show with a vacation it's worth the trip. I was there last year and had a great time, it is a 90 mile drive for me so it was not a big decision to make.

I am going and taking my wife with the kids in tow. We are hoping to catch a big picture of everything going on in the mobile ANYTHING business. My dream is to launch each of my kids into something when they hit their teen years and beyond. I hope to see all of you guys too before we duck out and hit the mouse town.

My point was alot of people use these things as an excuse to get away when you shouldnt need an excuse to go somewhere with the family.
Most folks are limited budget wise and waste a big portion of that at conventions rather than going somewhere with the kiddies.
As far as the network with fellow techs your already doing that here historicly buisnesses have built up hype and created conventions or expos to draw customers to thier booth and sell them something they may hide it in the fluff but its a sales promo plain and simple and myself I dont need to spend my time being sold.
if I owned a retail clothing store and wanted to go to a show to order mass product then maybe but seriosly what can they have that isnt available on the net for us? So you get to see some guy do a repair and call it training big whoop I watch myself do repairs everyday
Its real simple I dont believe in the convention or the easter bunny to each thier own I got better stuff to do with my time

GlassStarz,
IMO, there are three letters in the English language that can describe the reason why trade shows, professional seminars and other similar activities occur in "Prime Vacation" venues....
IRS!!!!!!
Hmm ... a trip, with my family, to the Disneyworld Area that I can write-off as a business expense so long as I take an hour or two to "conduct" some "business?" The fact that I can deduct some 80% of the expense off of my gross does not, IMO, mean I love my family less, it just allows me to use that extra cash to provide them with an even better time:)
