RLI Insurance?

Saw some of you mention that RLI writes small business insurance for folks such as us. I have been unable to find a local independent agency that is familiar with this company.

Do any of you have a point of contact for Texas or an adjacent state? I have sent 2 emails to a Steve-Wilson but have not had a reply. First e was in October---no response.

Layne,
Here is the name and number that I used here in Houston Texas.
Jessica 1-888-269-9171 X5623

The address is
American Express Insurance Agency
3500 Packerland Dr.
De Pere, WI 54115-9070

I asked for General Liability with $500,000 (with no anti-terriorist coverage, they tried to add that automatically   ) and my premium was 250.00 per year, which can be paid with check, or American Express credit card.

Hope this helps,
Sally

RLI CONTACT NAME AND NUMBER

Three days ago, I called this number:
1(800) 842-3344 (they forwarded me to the right person when I told them what I wanted).

This is through American Express Property and Casualty, and they are writing me a $500k policy through RLI for $216/yr in Texas.

Scratchy provided me with this information and it worked great. Thanks!!

Thanks to all of you for the info.
Called the company Monday while in the hospital getting a new knee installed, they e-mailed the information along with a personal phone call yesterday, getting sit up today for a $1.000,000.00 policy with $5,000.00 business personal property for only $285.00 annually in Texas.
This is one heck of a good deal!

I'am currently getting set up to use A.C.T. for my ins. billing, in the packet they sent me it says that state farm requires a $500k policy with $30k garage keepers as well since RLI doesn't provide the garage keepers in these policies that have been discussed has this been an issue for anybody using A.C.T. with a RLI policy? I personally don't see why garage keepers would be required for a mobile business that has no reason to move the customers vehicles.

Thanks
Brad

Brad,

If your not moving customers vehicle there is no need for garage keepers insurance. I would suggest you call them back and clarify that point.

I'm not using A.C.T. but do use EDI billing for Lynx and have never been asked for a garage keepers policy.
