Canadian Auto Insurance

I live in an area that has a lot of Canadian vistors "Snow Birds" as we refer to them. They come to the desert for the winter weather and golf. Does anyone know if Canadian auto insurers have glass policies similar to those where the comprehensive coverage covers windshield repair with no deductible to the insured? When asked by folks from Canada about their qualifiying for "free" repair I tell them that I have not had any experience dealing with Canadian auto insurance companies and therefore am not informed of their coverages. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience dealing in this area of foreign insurers?
