Question for Coitster
Coit, I really respect your advice and opinion on the wsr business. I have read all your posts I think. Through them I believe I have gained a lot of knowledge that has been applicable and instrumental in my business success. So thank you and the other techs for all the wonderful advice I have gained from this forum. My question is what do you average per week over the course of 1 year doing business your way, per the insurance method??? I really appreciate everything, thanks.

Re: Question for Coitster
Thanks Augustus,
Careful all those compliments might go to my head..... wait, I like that. As for what I do on a yearly basis, well it depends. I do lots of both cash work and insurance work. I can't really reviel what my cash business is because well, how do I put this...... ::Looks around:: Under the table comes to mind. Sssshhhh don't tell anyone. LOL. As for insurance work I usualy average about 130+ repair a month. With that in mind I don't work everyday of the week and I don't almost ever put in a 8 hour work day. I have gotten very lazy over the years and I also like my time off.

Re: Question for Coitster
:eusa_clap WOW! Thanks Mr. Coitster for the reply. I appreciate your forthrightedness. So your averaging approximately 70-90K a year just doing insurance work. What as a conservative guess not to disclose all would you say the cash portion brings in, approximately 20-30K on top of that? I know you have shared so much info. Not to pry, but would you or do you have a marketing manual available? If so I would definately be more than interested as I'm sure others would be. Your guidance would be greatly appreciated. Does the cash jobs add up to about what I guessed on top of the insurance jobs? Thank you.

Yea don't I wish Cure. LOL, actualy I am working on a marketing manual right now. Its nothing like the other ones on the market. Its a lot, and I mean a lot bigger with tons more information on it, but its not ready yet. I can't say too much because the rules of the forum state that I can't market infomation on here.

Coit, as long as you're sharing some information, would you mind sharing what part of the Dallas area you service?

I don't mean to butt in but Coitster pointed me in the right direction soon after I got started. Everything he told me rings more true now than it did then so he knows his stuff. One big difference between Dave and the guys around me in my neck of the woods is.... Tenacity! The sirens call trying to shipwreck a WSR business is "yawn" laziness! Believe me.
Re: Question for Coitster
So Coitster, you are saying that you work roughly 4 days a week or 16/ month and you average 130+ insurance jobs from cold calling business parks? Thats roughly 8 per day! That sounds a little high. How can you do it?
Re: Question for Coitster
That doesn't sound toohigh to me. If a third that you do turn into three or four at the same place as can often be the case when cold calling insurance jobs. It probably doesn't take all day to do the eight.
