I want to thank Jeff at DELTA KITS for his consistent persistence in making sure that all of my questions or concerns were answered. I recently decided to go into the W.R.B. I'm not sure how all of you do it but here in Montana people are far and few in between ( no where ).
I'm going into the business as a sales org. Hiring and training reps to cold call on people and accounts. I did it and was able to pull in $1000.00 a week in repairs just by canvassing the rural areas of Montana. Can any body give any more insight as to wether or not this will work on a larger scale then just me? I have been sleepless for many nights with the excitement of getting this off the ground and my wife is ready to kill me for not going to bed with her at the same time. I just have this crazy idea to use salesman instead of waiting for the customer to come to me. I do intend to use mass Yellow pages advertising. Again any comments good or bad will be greatly appreciated, One more last question for you experienced repairers, Do the crack expanders really help or are they more expense and not worth their weight? thanks mark

You have the right idea to go to the people rather than wait for them to come to you. Yellow Pages are great, but only if people know your service is available. By this I don't mean your company, I mean windshield repair. I am amazed at the number of people who don't realize this is an option. I have been aware of it for a long time(I ran the fleet dept. for a rental car company before I started doing this). As you are starting out I would look for some fleet accounts to maitain as they can provide you with steady business during slow times.
