anyone live near DFW ??????

hi everyone I am new to this forum and to the w/r bissness. I have been doing repairs for only a few months now,and I have noticed I lack the nerve to go up strike up a conversation about possibly doing bissness with the potential customer. I would truly appreciate it if someone with some experience could give some pointers, perferably in person (hint the title... anyone live near DFW????).
