Just witnessed a beautiful thing!!!

Hello guys, I've been lurking here for over a year but still haven't taken the plunge. I am saving now to get a kit and will be going with Delta.

Anyway, about the beautiful thing I just witnessed. There is a local glass co. that handles all the vehicles at the fire alarm company I work for.(I plan on them being my first fleet customer) They show up to repair a rock chip on one of the guys personal vehicles. Another service guy here looks at me and says "I gotta get out there cause I got a rock chip I need fixed on my work truck." Once out there he remembers that he has one in his personal truck too. So to make a long story short just by showing up and doing 1 they do 2 more repairs which takes about 30 minutes. I was surprised at how excited this got me! I mean I have read about this on the forum but it was pretty neat to watch it unfold. I know this doesn't sound like anything special to many of you guys.

They only charged $35.00 per repair though so that was a little disappointing.(Cheap skates) And to be honest, I am no expert but the repairs didn't look that good. Still had air in them.

Happens every day. Welcome to WSR! Even better when they all have insurance to cover the repair.

I guess thats what I get for too much reading and dreaming about windshield repair and not doing it. Those should have been my repairs!

About a month ago they came out one morning and did like 6 vehicles, but I wasn't here that day, just heard about it. Good thing cause I don't think my heart cuold have stood it! LOL

Buy the kit, get some training, learn how to do a good repair and the $35 guys who leave air in the cracks will be out there every day pushing jobs your way.
Then -- commit to being the best in town, run a good-looking ad in the yellows and do all the chips you can.
Then -- load your IRAs, buy real estate, live within your means and call your Mom once in a while.
