Wr Check List
Re: Wr Check List
It's never a bad idea to make a damage check list of vehicle before repairing.
Not to many of us do this but believe if you don't do a damage check list you'll get burned at least once or twice in your repair business career. You don't have to inspect entire vehicle but you should be aware of the area your working in. Like any scratches, dings, dents or scuffs to painted surface on fender or hood.
It's always a pain to write all this stuff down but by doing so it may save you hundreds in the future!

You may want to include in your kit a spare dremel(one for drilling and one for polishing) this gives you an extra battery for the inevitable mid-day loss of power. Also a power(booster) pack is a handy toy to have, for those cars that the lighter is disfunctional. Depending on your target clientelle(and your stature) a small step ladder is not a bad idea. Also don't forget a calculator, spare pens, change, glass cleaner(I use rubbing alcohol), paper towels, invoices(minimum of 20, some dealers want an invoice per car), and some form of sun screen for the repair(bubble, plastic shield, towel......).
One othe thing I didn't see mentioned in your post was training, I hope you go training, and not just 50 practice repairs, training is a neccectity.
Merci

Re: Wr Check List
This is my check list before I go out the door.
Thermostat
Call forward
Wallet
Resin
Planner
Battery
Invoices
Food and water
I used to have a sign saying "LOOK" taped to my planner book. This was supposed to remind me to look for scratches and dents on the car as well as hidden chips on the windshield. You want to see those while the customer is standing there.
