gas price
gas price
Sunday in Atlanta, we will be back to $3.15 a gallon or more. How far are you willing to drive to serve your customers at your regular prices? I am going to charge a surcharge of $5.00 for all new retail customers-dealers will remain the same.
Are any of the networks willing to pay us more for our expenses? I will cut down the miles I cover for insurance unless they pay me!

Re: gas price
$3.15 a gallon try $9.00 over here. Although we have managed to keep repair prices higher than the States. My vehicle does 54 to the gallon so it is not to bad.
33,000 + screen repairs over 18 years and still learning.

Re: gas price
I think a gas surcharge will do nothing but p&#s off the customer if its a new customer just give him prices a little higher than you used to0. Inflation is every day stuff and profit isnt a bad word
Re: gas price
My customers are extremely happy I am not passing on a surcharge. As long as I am getting work its all ok. This week has been reallllly light though.
People are in a panic and holding on to their dough. I have cut out almost all eating out to divert funds to the gas tank so its not like I am losing money just having to make personal adjustments. When work is not coming in, then I am losing money. Ouch!

Re: gas price
Gas here is $1.23 a liter, and there's about 4 liters to a gallon! If prices don't go down, in December I will charge my customers an extra $5 as well.

Re: gas price
I will not be adding to my repair prices. I'm thankful to have a successful business and a dry roof over my head!
Re: gas price
Dave M,
I too, have a successful business, but my roof is leaking and needs repair.
I am raising prices only to new retail customers. They don't know my regular price.

At 70 miles per gallon it's nothing if not efficient, another option for those in the warmer climes is a motorcycle with a trailer(one of my techs did this this summer, fun and a good conversation piece).
Enjoy
