Starting out...i got a question

Post by acro_ryder »

Hi, My name is Adam. And im just getting ready to get trained this week on doing chip repairs on windsheilds. I got the Delta Kits informantion pack, along with the DVD. By just watching the DVD, i thought i didnt even need to get trained, but who wants to throw away free training? Not me. Alright, well, im going to start my windsheild busniess, next week after my training. Im not going to totaly rely on this as my only income, but iam wanting to, after a couple of months to rely only on my windsheild repair business. So i was wondering if you guys stay busy every week? Like is it hard to have consitant income every week? And what are the "slow" times in this busniess? Thanks a lot.. Adam.

Hi Adam, my name is Tom and I guess I am in the same boat as you. I also got the info pack from Delta Kits and am taking the training next week in Eugene. I also am going to start part time as I slowly move towards full time. I have been lurking here for some time reading all the posts time and again and am now looking forward to "seeing the real thing". We are moving closer to winter here and it gets very cold and snowy and it makes me wonder if i will get any business at all....and if i do will i really want it in that kind of weather..LOL. I am gonna have a million questions once i get going but am really getting excited about it too. Good luck to you in your venture.

I'd suggest reading this forum thoroughly as a first step in your windshield repair business. the info here is priceless.
A good place to start would be to the topic "Building your windshield repair business" started by coitster some time ago. here is a link you can use to get there from here:showthread.php?t=398&highlight=coitster

I would suggest that as you live in a wet area, you make every practise damage wet before you start your repair, this will make them far more realistic. It is a lot harder to do a good repair on a wet damage than a dry one. Learn and practise your dry out procedure.
