Could there be the beginning of a new insurance pricing trend out there? First there was Nationwide going to a flat $63.50 regardless of the number of chips. Today I received notice that USAA is going to a flat $60.00 beginning 10/7-05. While this strategy increases the rate for a single chip repair , it caps the multiple repairs.
Sounds good to me, no ceiling on the number of chips!! Customer and I decide if the correct thing to do is repair and voila, no haggling over anything with the TPA
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!
While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.
