Is this how it's supposed to be??

Post by JAC »

Maybe I just really didn't pay that much attention to the end of the tool, but I could have swore when I was doing my training in Oregon that the probe I used to clean out an impact point and to make a small bullseye on longer cracks, had a pointed tip on it?

I had a used one that had a flat tip on it, so I ordered a new one. Low and behold, the new one has a flat (I guess maybe it's a tiny bit rounded, but definately not pointy) tip. Am I going crazy or are they supposed to be flat like that? I just can't remember. But it would seem to me that pointed would work better??

Thanks,

JAC

If you bought it from us:

Unscrew the silver part, pull tip out, turn the tip 180 degrees, screw the silver part back.

We ship them with the sharp end in for safety 'n such.

If that really is the problem, it's not going to surprise me.

We get asked that question a lot. :)

LOL I wish I was making a joke. Well, I guess I probably have 2 with pointy ends hiding now. Yeah, I meant to do that... I wanted a back up... yeah, that's the ticket...

Thanks. I just looked at them both and the older one is kind of dull anyway. I like your new one better. I do blame you for my current embarrassment though, since you were'nt on live support when I had the question.

Delta Kits rocks :)

To be honest, I took my tip off to sharpen the point when I discovered the sharp end hiding. Just too funny.....

That's our passive aggressive cruel side. We pay someone $8 an hour to turn those things the wrong way to mess with our customers! :)
