Windshield Repair Can Be Mastered In One Hour

The March 2006 Lube & Oil News, a publication sent to many quick lubes, has an article (see link) that states with books and videos that windshield repair can be quote; "Anyone can master this repair process in a matter of one hour."

I think somebodys butt is sucking a little air. Somebodys just filling pages with baffle gab to get paid for doing an article and as such probably havn't researched properly.

Its like the girlfriend or wife thing you learn the basics quickly but it takes along time to master the process and most never do

I emailed bud abraham yesterday after reading that column. he was nice enough to reply here is his reply... Mr D:

Thank you for your email and I can certainly appreciate your concern over what I said, but the fact remains that a person can watch our video and read the manual and in an hour be able to make windshield chip repairs that are satisfactory. I have seen it done and have trained people who were able to master the use of our system.

That said, I was in no way trying to discredit the work of dedicated, hardworking people like yourself.

Often we say we have 10 years experience doing something, but often it is 30 days experience doing the same thing 9 years and 11 months.

Windshield repair I would have to say is not the skill that Paintless Dent Repair or even Paint Touchup or Interior Vinyl/Leather Repair is.
