Pneumatic Tools - Air Power Source?

Post by Runner »

Hi everyone, I've been reading these forums and am so glad to have chanced upon a great source of info! Just have a q for you windshield replacement ppl out there:

I am thinking of using pneumatic tools for windshield removal. Have any of you had any experience with this? What are the pros and cons? I heard that you can use the tool with your car or something -- is that possible? Also, what is the best way to go to use pneumatic tools for a mobile set up -- which air power source should I be using? Thanks alot for your help to all of you.

Couple of things to keep in mind.
Find out how much air your power tool will consume during operation.
Find out how much out put your air compressor will put out to keep up.
If you choose an electric compressor make sure your inverter will power it up.
If you choose a gas-powered compressor make sure you vent it outside the van and make sure it is secured during transport.
There are distributors that have both.
