Ok guy's here goes,I have lived in La. all of my 52 yrs.and this is the biggest rip off state in in U.S.Just wait and see what happens with all the billions of dollars from Katrina, I guarantee they wiil steal every penny also I have been an optician for over 33 yrs and have tried to pass a bill to license opticians. But nooooo, they want to license windshield repair.Like it' s not important for the person that is taking care of your eyesight to be certified, give me a break. It has to be about the dollar!!!! And not about the quality or safety.

Sounds like a good idea to me I would like to know that the fool replacing my windshield has at least a 8th grade education and has passed some sort of qualification. I watched a guy in TJ put a windshield in a cab with a butter knife and silicone caulking kinda scary.
A $75 fee isnt much and the need for a licence might shake outthe fly by night guys that are a problem. After all a licence can be taken away if the person doesnt do good work' A $2000 per day fine is about the only way I can think of to shake out the fleas
