Faxed Repair rate vs Approved rate

Post by Layne »

Just a heads up guys and girls.

I got a fax on May 23 from SGC authorizing a windshield repair in the amount of $63.00. After completing the repair, I forwarded the invoice through my third party EDI processor to SGC. They approved $53.00 and submitted an EFT for that amount. I sent a message through their website (SGC) and got a response...just a question (how many repairs did you make?). I gave then the fax date and time sent, along with info regarding the client and referral number. Why don't the read their own fax?

Let us recall that we got a notice recently telling us that we are now limited to 30 days for settling billing errors. A new ploy here? And the clock is ticking.

I had LYNX charge me a $10 discount on a Metropolitan claim back in early April. Their error and they refunded the $10.

I receive faxes periodically from the networks showing changes in fees. I update my fee fact sheet but I usually don't show the effective date. Someday it will burn me.
