Screen repair training in the UK
Screen repair training in the UK
Hi There,
I am considering starting a screen repair business in the near future. Does anyone know of any places that could provide quality training? Not the kind of place that only provides you with a day if purchasing one of their kits.
I am based in London
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

Glas-Weld UK has an excellent school but you probably have to buy their gear or join their organization. Maybe Screenman is your guy.

Glas-weld only sell franchises as far as I know. We are the only people that offer a 5 day training course. We do not just train the repair bit but talk about marketing, insurance, safety and much more in fact a complete start up package.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the replies.
I take it PM does not work on this forum? i saw an old thread stating that you have to turn it on in 'edit options' but i don't see any PM related options there.

Not sure what you mean about not being able to say that you provide training classes Screenman...??? Anyway.
PM's work, but they're a priviledge that's extended after a certain period of being a member, as well as having posted. This prevents people from registering and immediately PM'ing all members with their latest "male enhancement" product!
Screenman & p0rt. If interested, email me your guy's email addresses and i'll hook you up.

Re: Screen repair training in the UK
Last I heard Glas Weld DOES NOT sell Franchises. Anywhere. They DO OFFER a business opportunity. You can PAY and go to their training which is very good, however you have to remember they teach the basics and with using Glas Weld equipment. If you use Delta no problem, you can still do their training at there fee price but they can't help with other brands of equipment. No different than anyone else Delta,GM,GT etc. You could pay for there training but they PROBABLY could show you how to use a competitor's equipment BUT they will not and you really can't blame any of the manufacterers for this.

Glasweld in the Uk is a franchised operation check out thier website. I do not know if this is the same Glasweld you have over there but I presume so. Like most franchises they have restrictive areas and monthly commisions to pay.
