Re: do you do any re-repair
I will try to fix a previously repaired chip if it's a bullseye and there's lots of air (black) around the base (i.e. the pit is sealed). I drill almost to the laminate near the base of the break (outer circle) and repair as usual. Sometimes 2 holes are needed. If I'm fixing another (new) chip for the customer I usually don't charge for the re-repair. Otherwise, I charge.
Star and bat-wings I stay away from unless they've cracked out. In that case I will repair as a new crack.

Re: do you do any re-repair
I always remind the customer that someone else has screwed up the work and I can't guarantee that it will look any better when I'm finished. Of course, I wont' do the re-repair if I don't think I can make it better. I also mention to the customer that they should call their insurance company and complain about the poor service they got so that tech won't get called the next time. I don't like to lose business to people who can't deliver the goods but still get paid for it. Anybody else feel that way?
