Re: stars
dentmagic,
think of glass repair kind of like PDR. If you are pushing a dent and start to get a high or to many highs you are pushing to hard? If legs are growing maybe you have to much injector pressure or to much stem pressure. With glass there are no knock downs so go slowly. You can flex the leg to get it to fill but at the same time to much flex pressure and the leg will get even longer. Just a suggestion, if you would take the time to fill out your public profile and give us some info about you and where you are at, etc. more of the veterans would probably answer your posts. I mean if you don't think enough of the forum members to post a little about yourself why should they feel they owe you any advice? Do not take this advice the wrong way as it is JUST my own opinion. Also the search feature will find just about any subject.

Re: stars
Now that is what I am talking about. On stars with legs-The longer the leg and the tighter the leg the thinner resin I use. Mr. Chip is correct with patience which is something you have to have as you also do PDR. The tighter the legs the more time to work the break. I get inside and LIGHTLY flex the leg not filling but this also takes practice or the leg will grow on you. Go slowly, I have worked a break for about 45 minutes before I was happy with it fully filling. This is not the norm though. I always use the thickest resin I can for the break but legs usually mean thin resin. What brand resin are you using?

DM,
I checked out your web page. SWEET- On the windshield side of it I would change the wording to MOST insurance copanies will waive
and
REMOVE the word DISAPPEAR and NEVER use that word when selling this service. I would word it like depending on the age and initial damage of the repair we strive for 80-95% improvement. Oversell the clarity and strenghth of the repair.

Re: stars
DM your statement on your website that replacement windscreens are inferior to factory ones could cause you some trouble with windscreen manufacturers. Car makers do not make windscreens o.e. and replacement glass originate from the same glass factories and they all must meet a safety standard. A few years ago, in the UK, Volvo tried to infer that there glass was the only safe glass to fit as a replacement. They quickly had to withdraw this when threatened with legal action.
Re: stars
Thanks for the advice for website. I will have those changes made ASAP. I use for now a resin from American. www.rockchipkits.comI have been practicing more and as far as the legs spreading I believe came from to much stem pressure on a hot windshield. I will keep practicing and coming back with "newbie" questions.
