I was thinking a good special like maybe $.89 each in lots of 100 or something like that.

I use the drill on every repair, not always for making a hole but just to scribe out the pit. A drill bit will last me about
33,000 + screen repairs over 18 years and still learning.

i just had to say there was a time when i had so many drill bits i would use it once and throw them away..ss white has a manufacturing plant in lakewood nj and i got to know the president and vice president when they came into my store where i worked...i ordered and delivered their employees holidays hams ..so when i came over they would give me a bag!!! of drill bit secondsand i had a kazillion ...i gave some to friendly competitors just to get rid of them....but all things come to an end and now i wish i would have hoarded some:icon_roll

If I had the money Jeff is hoarding I would order that many. BUT since I only have MY money I will have to only order 1-100 count as I am small time here.

I have purchased bits from many suppliers, as far as I know they are a standard carbide tipped. I use the ball end type, as I find I have more control when I just want to use the drill to clean out the pit. I think it is as much the way you use the drill and not allow it to over heat that makes it last longer.
