Cleaning the windshield after a repair

I always clean the customers entire windshield after I repair it.
The problem is I have yet to find a glass cleaner that actually cleans the glass. I have always kept a spray bottle of windex with me and and lots of paper-towels. And I just gotta say that I have never ever been able to obtain a streak-free shine on the customers windshield using Windex. They should re-name their product "streak-max" or "mega-streak"
I actually got much better results cleaning the windshield with plain old tap water from a spray bottle and a white scrubbing pad.
I actually have been telling my customers that I guarantee the repair, but I cannot guarantee a streak-free shine. - (Joking with the customer of course) but I'm serious. The only thing windex is good for in my book is suction cup lubricant.
What do you techs use that will clean a windshiled (especially in the hot sun!)
