Drill or Not to Drill?

The company I bought my equipment from says only to drill as a last resort. With bullseye breaks to me it doesn't seem to be a problem but combination-star breaks is it better to go ahead and drill? I have been playing with some combinations lately and drilling of the bat and they have filled great and with a good result. What is your take on drilling?

Hello,, this has been my problem for a while but I always try first with out drilling, it takes longer but sometimes you don't need to drill. I just did a shield yesterday that was a tiny chip in the glass with two 1/4" cracks. I ran a vacuum and pressure cycle with no results at all. I then drilled and poped a bullseye it then filled and looked great. So I guess I could have just drilled like I figured I would have to but it just don't feel right to at least trying with out. So I guess it is just up to you, I will probably eventually just start drilling damage like that to stop wasting 15 or more minutes LOL

Everybody Has There Ways, Although, Of You Just Consider
To Drill The 1/8 To 1/4 Way Down Into The Break
Just To Clean Out The Arteries In The Break It Will Save You Time
Before You Decide Not To Drill Than Realize That You In Fact
Have To Drill. And Waist The Resin That You Tried To Apply Previously. Than You Come Across Those Breaks That Are A Dead Give Away About Whether You Should Drill Or Not Drill.
