Add On Interior Repair??

Post by all starr »

Any techs out there also doing interior touch up(leather, fabric,or vinyl) repair? what product are you using, what was the learning curve. Are you happy offering this service, and is it profitable?

The only reason I want to add this service is beacause a few of my dealer fleet actts want me to offer this as well. Any thoughts or advice??

Thanks,

Jared

I have been doing Vinyl repair since the early 80s. To answer your questions I have all but quit this service because it is Expensive to provide (large inventory there) The learning curve is simi-long You can pick it up fairly quickly but I recomend a mentor situation as the different methods are many for different situations. Profit is around the same as WSR minus the investment.
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.
