How do you know if there is enough business in your city?
I live in a city of about 100,000 in Georgia. My question is this: Is there enough business in every city or are certain areas of the country more prone to windshield chips? There are currently two listings in the phonebook and I have never seen anyone doing repairs or seen any repair trucks around town.

There is plenty of business everwhere you have just got to go and find it. The fact that you have not seen a repair guy means that most other people have not. Be the first to be seen by everyone.
Some of the most unlikey areas produce the most work. We have a city of about 35,000 shared by about 10 of us still penty of work just have to travel a bit.
Best of luck and get out and do it.

based on your population figures I would estimate your car population at around 50-60K with an average breakage rate of 10% that would provide 5-6K breakages per year of which at least half would be repairable. So you would be looking at 3000 repairs in your area per annum. Go for it.
Is a customer always right? - No, but they are always the customer.

You know there is business if .......
#1. If the windshields are made of glass
#2. If the roads are made of a gravel product.

If there is a lot of road construction find you a corner where you can park. You will get plenty of business.

Try putting the other shoe on your foot. What I mean is, I try being the customer with a chip in the windshield and try to find someone to fix it.

I like the idea of your fortunate situation of not many competitors. This means several things... as mentioned, you have a great iopurtunity 7 should make yourself very obvious. Make sure your business name tells lay=persons what you do... Not Georgia City Resin Injection Solutions.
i think a huge thing for you would be to educate people. Offer to teach free 2-minute seminars at staff meetings around your city... 12 bank employees would love to hear how they can use your seriflex stickers to protect their windshields... how to avoide rapid tempurature changes... etc ... then, next month / year, when they need someone... they will call YOU!
