I have been using Poly Lite 200 (thick) & 25 (thin) resin and am happy with it... but am always looking for better.
I tried a bottle of Stop-A-Crack medium resin and love how well it fills in... but the chemical odor is a bit strong and I am not certain of its strength. Every company says that theirs is the strongest, clearest, most technologically advanced, most closely matches glass..., but from an objective standpoint, what have ya'll found to be the best?
Good resin?

Re: Good resin?
Shepard,
All you have to do is search the forum and you will find more threads on the same subject you are asking about to give you headache. You will find most of the big guns put out quality resins as well. You will also find that we each have our own reasons for what resins we like for different applications.
I am a big promoter of the resin technical specs as a baseline only for an educated decision when choosing a resin or switching. Why don't you contact the different brands and and request this info and compare it to the info from who you currently use. (Most wont supply this and since you speak of poly lite they are one of them at least when I tried. This does not mean if a company wont supply them they are not good resins but if a company, any company wont supply me with this data to to make an informed decision it raises a red flag, why would'nt they want you to know what they are selling you? They do not need my business and maybe they have an inferrior product line). This data is not to be confused with the MSDS either. This info will include the refractive index, shore hardness, linear shrinkage and so on. All the stuff you should consider for an educated decision in addition to real world results.
This is my opinion only.

Re: Good resin?
I started out using poly lite resins. After a while there were not holding up to the moisture and uv. I would sugguest that you start useing a better higher quialty resin.
