I have a question of people that have been doing this longer than i have.... How much do you charge per crack?? I watched one crack swallow up a lot of my resin lynx advised that they only pay one chip per crack is this right as we have to drill it twice or would you bill it for two chips? Then does anyone have any suggestions for billing cracks to customers?
Help about this would be apprieciated

Re: How to bill cracks?
I usually charge 60 if the crack is 6" or less, if over 70. I usually drill and pop 2 mini bulls per crack. You have to take into account all the extra steps when you are repairing a crack. You cant just stand around and wait for the injector to do it's thing.

Re: How to bill cracks?
I charge as if it were a 2 chip repair (the 2nd chip I pop at end of crack) plus $1 an inch. Pretty cheap, but that's what the market will bear here.

I charge the same for chips or cracks - $75.
I will only repair cracks up to 12 inches.
I don't "pop" mini-bullseyes. I just drill a very tiny hole at the end of the crack with a Henry Schein size 1 FG dental bur. It's so small that it's hardly noticable.

Re: How to bill cracks?
You should be able to get anywhere from $60-$100 per the length of the crack. We don't do many for insurance...never seem to get them dispatched, but we do many for rental car co.'s and customers that don't want to go through their insurance. It also has to be over 5 inches total to be considered a crack in the first place...star's and combo's frequently reach the 4 inch mark without even trying!
Re: How to bill cracks?
Thank you all for the information about cracks. The reason I asked is the crack was 3 inches out from the edge had a 6 inch s then ran out about another 10 inches. When i was done it was nearly transparent all the way. And yes the insurance company paid for this i did call Lynx and advise them of the size of the crack and that is when the custormer service person told me they only pay for one repair per crack.
