Adjusting insurance pricing
Adjusting insurance pricing
Currently we get a few insurance jobs a week at the min. pricing for repair. In a couple weeks we are going to be setting up a booth in a major grocery store. Would it be towards our advantage to increase our rates do to the fact we are expecting a huge spike in total number of jobs or remain the same and still have the trickle affect of insurance calls?
Re: Adjusting insurance pricing
Play it by ear how many customers will ask for w/s repair and go from there !
You always can adjust your prices upwards having insurance or not.
My experience is customers rather pay out of pocket than calling it in to their insurance company afraid their rate goes up at renewal. For this reason I'm not a member with the networks, CCC deals only. (cash, check , creditcard ).

If you are serious about the wsr business, I believe it is foolish to not be a member with all of the claims networks. I guess some people like their chicken fried steak without the gravy?
Re: Adjusting insurance pricing
I'm not the only one that doesn't deal with the networks as I've learned , too much hastle about not pre-quoting their clients about their windshield dammage and therefor spending your wheels for nothing too often.

Re: Adjusting insurance pricing
You really have some misconceptions in regard to insurance referal work. There is no hassle to it or prequoting of anything. And I've never spun my wheels for noting on an insurance job.
It's simple. They contact you. They fax you the referal sheet. You do the job. You bill them. They pay you.
Man, that EASY money sure is hard to get! DUH!

Re: Adjusting insurance pricing
Oh yeah... insurance work isn't a burden. We just wanted to be fair and capitalize on the situation at the same time.
