Not a problem, as long as they pay me another $20 and I'll etch my company name on every repair provided.

Heck, I'll even offer to etch my company name for scrapping a bug spot off their windshield for the extra $20 (100% restored vision guaranteed!)

If this passes, I'd be more worried if I was a hired gun mobile replacement tech popping in 10 shields a day more so than a repair only tech. Not sure who is behind promoting this but it has the scent of big business! Belron??? Maybe, maybe not!

Someone in that office got bored and dreamed up this etching idea to get himself in the picture , hogwash !

Suppose, somebody averages 3 chip repairs a year , then he gets 3 etches in his windshield , they won't be lined up in the first place !
When he keeps his car lets say 5 years , he has 5 x 3 = 15 etches all over his windshield.
What would be the trade-in value for his car with a dammaged windschield like this , no cracks, chips or cracks though but 15 etches left and right .
Could he claim his loss of trade-in value at this outfit that's promoting this crazy idea about etching ?

This sounds like a bunch of stuff that cattle leave out in the pasture on the ground daily!!! Who dreams up this crap?? We all have enough to worry about in our businesses without that.....
