Business Cards

Post by Jerry Martin »

I think I may have read in the forum where someone wrote they didn't pass out any business cards but took THEIR phone number. I thought that strange but got to noticing.
When I spoke to anyone about repairs and they perhaps are in a rush to go somewhere or someone who spoke to me in a parking lot I would pass out a card and wait for a call which NEVER came.
I reversed my strategy and when they ask for a card, I ask for THEIR phone number. Now I had THEM on the ropes and now get 100% appointments.
I conclude that as soon as people ask you for a card, it is the same as "Yawn,
don't bother me, Ill call you."
When I'm finished I give them one of my super-duper, hand made 3-D business cards and get refferals. This business is as hard as you make it to be.

Jerry is right!
Most people I give a card to don't call either.
I'm going to try his method too and see what happens.

I agreed! I passed out many business cards to people that have rock chips on their windshields.. They were really happy that I gave them the cards and said they will call me.. its about 1 out of 50 that will call me when they are ready.. What happen to the other 49? that what I can't firgure out, they know that they have a rock chip and its going to cracks-out if they don't repair it soon.. So they either lost my cards or they forgot all about it!
That is a good idea Jerry, I just have to ask them for their number for reminder..
Have a great weekend!
