Recently I purchased one of those bubble dome thingy majigs to protect in the rain. It was packed in an oversized box, presenting special shipping problems, as has already been discussed on these forums (though most threads were only talking maybe 20 extra bucks or so for shipping in the US) Then there is the fact that UPS charges an arm and a leg for brokerage fees up to Canada. (DHL not far behind) To make a long story short, there was a misunderstanding with Delta when I ordered as to how we wanted it shipped, so that when I got the bill for shipping and brokerage fee and taxes, it was over $150 plus the cost of the item! :eusa_booh (So be warned all you Canucks about that!)
But the real reason I'm posting is Brent and the gang at Delta went the second mile and gave me a healthy partial credit for the misunderstanding. My wife and I were super impressed in this day and age when companies seem to want to get all they can from you. Anyways just want to say thanks again to them, and let some of you know, if you didn't already, the good character by which they operate.
just want to say thanks
Re: just want to say thanks
I did not have those high fees.I think delta sent mine usps.I do remember getting a small bottle of stuff for headlight repair from another company and they sent it UPS and I had to pay more for brokerage fees than what the product was worth. So now I ask to be sent USPS instead.
