When is UV bounce a good thing?
Re: When is UV bounce a good thing?
Splitpit,
Could you be more specific? Are you referring to reflective UV's effecting a repair or something other?

Re: When is UV bounce a good thing?
Yes, I'm talking about reflective UV rays and windshield repair.

OK,
Well personally, since I shield every repair from any UV exposure while repairing I quess the the only good thing that comes to mind, is it helps me get a better tan. Can't think of any other reason that makes it a good thing. If you know of one, please share! Sounds like a trick question.

Re: When is UV bounce a good thing?
Sometimes when I'm curing long cracks I will use a mirror to help speed things up a little....

Not a trick question. Still waiting for the right answer because I'm sure someone knows!

I'm not sure what Splitpit is asking or referring too because he's not being very specific.
If you guys are talking about deflecting sunlite with a mirror, my question is why even bother when you have access to a UV lamp that can provide up to 8 times the UV curing power than the sun provides? I hope you don't mean using a mirror on inside of glass to deflect UV's!

Re: When is UV bounce a good thing?
I'll cure 2 to 3 minutes a jump with my lamp while running ahead with a mirror ......."sometimes" but this does sound like a trick question.
