Tent question?
Tent question?
For those of you that provide a stationary or tent. Have you ever used banner wordage other than "Free Windshield Repair"? Like maybe "Low Cost or No Cost To You With Approved Insurance? If you have, could you please share your experiences advertising it without using the word "Free"
Re: Tent question?
I have experimented with my signage wording and here is what I have found.
FREE Windshield Repair vs Rock Chip and Crack Repair
I tend to get more actual jobs when I don't use the word FREE.
My opinion is that some people won't stop when it says free because they think it's a hoax.
More people stop for the FREE but I actually do fewer repairs because the ones stopping are in an old beater with liability only and they don't have a dime to spend on a repair.
High end clientel in expensive cars usually aren't stopping because it says FREE.

Re: Tent question?
Thanks for the reply StarStruck,
That is what I've experienced. Started out using a rock damage repair only banner, then added the "Free" banner and it didn't improve sales but it did attract many that had multiple cracks ranging from 25"-40" on PLPD junkers.
Not sure why all the other parking lot setups in my area use this form of advertising but they do. Could be they collect well on the referral cash replacement end.

Re: Tent question?
We used to use the word free but to many people thought it was completly free. So the wording was changed to , No cost to you with proper comprehensive ins.
