Im in Sacramento, CA. Currently a window tinter, just adding the WSR. A pdr tech at one of my dealer accounts set up an appointment to get some tint done on his car and said my location would be great for WSR, Im located next to a carwash. I was told it was a good money, so im trying it out, So far im liking it a lot. I have a starter kit, american chip repair (i think). My next step is maybe riding along with seasoned vet, then figuring out how to do the insurance billing. I called two insurance companies directly and havent gotten any straight answers.

Welcome to the windshield repair forum Sy Tran. Sounds like you are on the right track.

Depending on how you choose to do your insurance billing we can help get you set up with the networks in just a few days. There are many billing solutions out there these days, but depending on your business model we have found that either ACT or e-DirectGlass fit the needs of most technicians very well. If you choose either of these billing solutions we will get you all the necessary paperwork and walk you through the sign up process for Safelite, Lynx, and Metryx. You are never locked in to using either of these companies, so if you are free to choose another billing system somewhere down the road once you have your network credentials set up.

There are advantages and disadvantages to every billing solution, so it pays to do your homework. A lot of technicians are still faxing invoices to Lynx and billing directly through Safelite's website, but you still need to keep track of everything so billing solution companies still make a lot of sense for most companies, especially if you are doing a high volume of windshield repair. business.

Check out everything available to you and if you are interested in either eDirectGlass or ACT please give us a call.

We also offer some pretty generous trade in opportunities when you are ready to trade up for some new equipment.

Regardless of the equipment you choose or how you choose to do your insurance billing, I wish you the best of luck!

Hello everyone, I too am new to the WSP business. I am from Michigan where I have spent my entire life and career....although I think as I get older them warmth of the south seems to fit me better :o . I came from the manufacturing and automotive industry here in Michigan where I have spent most of my 22 year career. I am currently self-employed doing manufacturing and business consulting, but have been interested in glass repair for some time and decided now is the best time to pursue that interest further. I have a ton of questions which I hope I can get some help with in this forum. I have been reading the forum for some time, and I am amazed at how hopeful and professional people are in this forum. I appreciate the posts I have read so far. Thanks for any insight you might have to a new comer to the WSR business. Thanks in advance! :) Best Regards.
