delta kits vs glass mechanix

Post by Coitster »

Hello John,
Interesting question. What it really comes down to is personaly preferance. I personaly like the delta however the new glass mechanix system is pretty good. Thank God they updated because I personaly didn't think very highly of their old air pump system. The new system they have is hydralic as it should be and has a very strong vaccum. The only thing that I don't like about glass mechanix is their very missleading advertisements in magazines and trade journals and also classified adds in papers accross the country advertising you can make 90,000 to 200,000 a year doing chips. Mabee 5 years ago you could do that with good effort, today thats very, very hard to do.

I will give them this, they do have a trainning program, don't know much about that so I can't comment on that. I personaly think they are very, very high on the price of their resins. I have never used them so again I can't comment. Seams like they have a good product. The reason I personaly use Delta Kits is because I personaly really like it, its very easy to use and does an excellent job of doing repairs. Also much much less expensive. If you do decide you would like to use the Delta, let me know I would be happy to train you on the system if you want to come to Dallas. Otherwise my sister could probably train you she lives in southern california.

If you decide to use the Mechanix I wish you happy repairing. They do have a good system.

John,

I'll let others give you their opinions on the two systems. To answer your question though, we do offer comprehensive training courses, which reduce the learning curve on windshield repair significantly.

Delta Kits is the easiest to use and least expensive system I have found. I use them exclusively. they have a great training program ... Brent from Delta Kits trained me personally some years back. It was extensive training and got me on my way fast.

Thanks Brent :P
