I've noticed detail suppliers are now selling systems and the instructions are for using the kinds of pads you use for car polishing rather than sanding discs.

Flintstones for sure for the do it yourselfer. Do you find that many of your potential customers are or have tried DIY? Is it much of a threat to business?

I have found that most of the DIY people make more of a mess with their restorations. I usually charge a little more if they have worked on their lenses prior to my arrival.
